(S)-(-)-5-pentylpentan-5-olide
- sweet, fruity, peach note, fatty, butter-like;
Bourdineaud et. al. describe this as: Fruity top
note; heavier, milder and more coumarin but less
tuberose than racemate. The more the sample is
enriched in the R-(+)-enantiomer the more the
floral notes are important; inversely, the more
enriched in the S-(-)-enantiomer, the more the
sample is intense and lactonic.
